The Department of Electrical Engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering successfully organized a knowledge-sharing session titled “Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors” on 20th Shrawan, 2082, as part of its ongoing faculty development initiative. The session was conducted by Dr. Phanindra Prasad Bhandari, Associate Professor, Department of Sciences and Humanities, Khwopa Engineering College. The event brought together faculty participants from the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering, and the Department of Sciences and Humanities for a collaborative academic engagement.
The session focused on strengthening participants’ conceptual understanding and pedagogical approaches to eigenvalues and eigenvectors, which are foundational in numerous engineering and scientific domains, including system modeling and analysis, Power system stability and dynamics, control systems, digital signal processing, machine learning, optimization, and scientific computing.
Dr. Bhandari provided detailed explanations on the theoretical background, computation techniques, and matrix behavior, while also highlighting engineering applications across multiple disciplines. The session encouraged faculty to explore interdisciplinary relevance in teaching and research. Faculty members from diverse departments engaged in a vibrant discussion, exchanging ideas on integrating mathematical concepts into their respective courses. The session fostered collaboration and cross-disciplinary learning, aligned with the institution's goal of holistic academic development.
